Teamspeak Server

First topic message reminder :

i dont know if this is the right area to post this (if not then could a moderator please move it to the correct sub-forum),

but do we have a teamspeak server??

if no then are we going to get one??

if needed i can set up a server consisting of 20 slots for AUS$12.00, based in Sydney

Ill make it a global anno but im think a mumble server would be better cuz it has less lag better quality and also cost less. And if you know what this is its open source

mumble would be good, but then if someone is hosting an alteriwnet server they also have to host a mumble server at the same time, therefore increasing latency , ping or whatever you want to call it, making the game more laggy.

we could solve this by having one or two people host the mumble server while the rest host alteriwnet servers.

another issue i would have with this would be that someone has to turn on their server each time for this to work while such programs like teamspeak, ventrillo, etc are 24/7 online.

also if you are concerned with such programs as teamspeak and ventrillo being laggy then dont worry, because i have found multiple (13 to be exact) server from withing the australian border, meaning that pings/latencies/whatever you want to call it stays at or below 100

idk, i'd be happy with mumble, teamspeak, ventrillo, or even skype, its just all of these programs have their limitations and we have to decide which would be best for this clan, its activities and times of activity

I use Vent and i dont have a prob wen my net isnt capped. I use it with WoW and Im willing to use TS, i used it with last clan i was in.

I have found a mumble server that is in aus and if we do decide to buy on mumble is about half the cost of a teamspeak or ventrilo server (Monthly) and they also dont charge for setup.

send me the link, i'll check it out, once we have numbers on how many slots we need i'll be happy to start setting it up
